The Sam McCauley Chemists group have announced today that they will create up to 20 new jobs in Clonmel with the opening of a 4000 sq ft store in Showground’s Shopping centre in Clonmel in early March. Making the announcement Patrick McCormack Managing Director said,
“ We are delighted to announce a good news story about an Irish brand which has its roots in the south east region .The opening in Showground’s will be our 26th store . The Sam McCauley Chemists group continues to grow from strength to strength. The Sam McCauley Chemists group latest opening will be a large format store covering 4000 sq feet and will employ up to 20 people. We will have a full prescription and medical service in addition to health and beauty, fragrances, digital photography, Clarins Cosmetics and the first Benefit cosmetics counter in Tipperary.”
He continued
“Not only will this Pharmacy and health and beauty store be an exciting addition for the shoppers of Clonmel, but will also create much needed jobs in the area, Sam McCauley Chemist estimate that this store will create employment for up to 20 people which is fantastic news for the County. At present Sam McCauley Chemist is in a temporary location in Showground giving its customers a small taste of what to expect from its final offering”
McCormack also announced that their pharmacy at Davis road will reopen in April creating further employment
“When we re-open our Davis road store at the Dunnes Stores shopping centre in addition to our existing stores in Carrick on Suir, Poppyfields and Showground’s we will be employing almost 60 people in County Tipperary.”
The Sam McCauley Chemist group now employs over 550 people in 26 locations throughout Ireland and has further plans for expansion.
They were recently awarded the Deloitte best Managed Company ‘Gold standard’ following a rigorous vetting process.
